Lead Mechanical Installation Technician

At IM Duurzaam, we deliver smart, sustainable installations for clients such as Action stores, Bergman Clinics, retail chains, and office buildings like CBRE Amersfoort. From air handling and heat pumps to plumbing systems, electrical installations, and complete technical rooms, we make sure everything works, and you will be part of that process.

Your role

As a Lead Mechanical Installation Technician, you are the driving force on a construction site. You ensure that execution runs smoothly, safe, structured, and according to plan.

• Lead and coach a team of technicians across multiple projects
• Ensure efficient and safe installation of mechanical systems (including air handling, heat pumps, plumbing systems, and climate installations)
• Monitor planning, budget, and quality, and adjust where needed
• Act as the main point of contact on site for Project Managers, clients, and other stakeholders
• Contribute to smart solutions and optimizations in both processes and technology
• Resolve technical challenges on site with a practical approach

In short, you ensure everything on site is executed as it should be, from the first installation to final delivery.

About you

You like to get things done and see them through to completion. You want to deliver projects you can be proud of and that meet client expectations.

• A completed vocational (MBO) education in Mechanical Engineering, Installation Technology, or a related field
• Experience as a lead technician in installation engineering
• Strong leadership and communication skills, you are confident, yet approachable
• Proactive and solution-oriented
• A valid driver’s license (Category B); VCA-VOL is a plus (or you are willing to obtain it)
