Mechanical Project Manager

At IM Duurzaam, we deliver smart, sustainable installations for clients such as Action stores, Bergman Clinics, retail chains, and office buildings like CBRE Amersfoort. From air handling and heat pumps to plumbing systems, electrical installations, and complete technical rooms, we make sure everything works, and you will be part of that process.

Your role

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you are responsible for projects from start to finish within climate systems and building installations. You ensure that execution runs smoothly, safe, structured, and according to plan.

• Take full responsibility for the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery
• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets
• Lead and motivate projectteams (engineers and technicians) to achieve the best results
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring clear communication
• Identify risks and opportunities and respond proactively
• Ensure accurate and complete project administration
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable solutions, both mechanical and electrical

In short, you maintain oversight, adjust where needed, and ensure projects are delivered as agreed.

About you

You enjoy working at pace, without compromising quality. You want to deliver projects you can be proud of, projects that meet expectations and satisfy clients.

• A completed bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Installation Technology, or a related field
• At least 3–5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in installation engineering
• Strong affinity with electrical installations and the ability to integrate them into projects
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset
• A valid driver’s license (Category B); experience with project management methodologies is a plus
